A LITTLE ABOUT ME - YOUR COACH...
Hey there! I’m Matt Baker, New York City-based jazz pianist, accompanist, coach and creator of The Ultimate Live Singer.Â
I’ve accompanied thousands of singers in my career, but have also had the privilege for the last 15 years of being a VOCAL COACH to tons of singers who are either venturing into the jazz world from another style (like musical theater, cabaret, pop or opera), or are already quite established.
My coaching often entails helping singers work on their shows, songs, arrangements, scat singing & improvising, phrasing, helping them work with a pianist or band, accompanying themselves, making backing/practice tracks, or overall just teaching them how to be a great leader on stage.
